Bermudian Landing is a small village 26 miles from Belize City. As an old logging camp Bermudian Landing dates back to the beginning of the 17th century. Today the village is mainly of farming and ranching and is well known for the Baboon Sanctuary.

The Bermudian Landing library was first established in 2002 and was managed by Ms. Rhondene Joseph. The library is housed at the BELRIV CENTER for Sustainable Development, after all efforts were made to locate a building for the library with assistance of the then chairman Mr. Roy A. Young.

Today the library is managed by Mrs. Geraldine Joseph vice chairlady of the Village Council along with the assistance two Peace Corps volunteer Mrs. Rachael Wagner and Mr. Aaron Wagner. The library houses approximately one thousand two hundred books, and has a membership of about eighty.

There is also one primary school and the Belize Rural High in the community that have access to the library. The school population is approximately two hundred (200) students.

The library is opened to the general public four times a week for two hours which is Monday and Tuesday 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 pm and Wednesday and Thursday 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm daily.
